Bar Association Civil Court Gorakhpur has a very Rich Past.
It would be pertinent to recollect the history associated with the journey of the Bar Association first meeting of the Bar Association presided over under the Chairmanship of Late Munshi Harihar Dat on 26-08-1895.
Moulvi Asanullah was First Secretary of the Bar Association.
The number of members was 15 at that time which rose up to 136 during the year of Diamond Jubilee Celebration in 1975-76 it went up to 2500 in1998.
Today the registration membership is 8637.
Number of Renowned Pleaders and Advocates served the Bar Association as its President and Secretary.
The object of the Association is to consider matters connected with the intrests of the Bar and to take care for welfare of the members of the bar.
